During 2008, the use of the system grew by 100%, and in the first Quarter of 2009 has grown by 45% in 3 months.
In summary the new servers are :-
- EIGHT times quicker than their predecessors
- Have SIX times more data storage
- Can handle FIVE times as many users simultaneously
- Have updated Security and Virus protection systems
The new servers went "live" on Saturday 14 th March, and it is a credit to the thorough planning of the DPS team that this technically complex operation went live without a hitch, and with no disruption to our customers.
We continually monitor the service and will not hesitate to add resources as customer demands increase.
