Norway. They distribute their products from about 50 different
depots throughout Norway and use LogiX for a variety of
strategic and tactical planning.

planning tool.

"After a strategic review of the
distribution requirements, Bisley embarked on a program

competitors for four main reasons:

4. We are treated as a customer and not a number."
Business Post
Business Post has grown to become one of the largest independent express delivery companies in the United Kingdom. They chose DPS LogiX to improve their delivery service.
Ben Hiles, Head of Network Development, commented:
"I wanted to
make better use of technology
in the operational arena. It's
a fast-changing market and can
be seasonal. The ability to
put science behind what drivers
do can be advantageous."
"We are now reviewing
our routes looking at 'what-if'
scenarios. Where we moved
sites, such as Bristol, we
can use the software to recalculate
routes and see if any changes
are needed. The software can't
just go off and give you an
answer, but it does make the
process of reviewing routes
a lot quicker, and assists
in the re-engineering of them."
In a competitive market place
Business Post is constantly
looking how to develop its products
and services. DPS LogiX has
enabled high level assessments
of the impact of potential new
offerings on the current operational
network, vital for understanding
the cost to serve.
"As we get better in using the system, we will be looking to use it on a tactical day to day basis, ensuring that the route is organised in the most effective way assisting the drivers and their ability to delivery improved levels of service to our customers."

the system was able to describe different types of goods
flow from various types of terminals in an easy way. With
the Plan LogiX tramping algorithm, the flow of goods was
described very exactly. It also felt secure to be able
to buy a standard system that fulfills the planning needs
we have"

Culligan Water
Culligan felt that there was
a need to get to grips with
the cost and effectiveness of
getting water to UK customers.

as well as sanitisation service
calls were fully integrated
and the fleet balance was improved
significantly.

"The full year savings
to us will be more than £300,000
and the DPS study has brought
us considerable improvements
in service and in the conditions
and job satisfaction to our
drivers. We and they now regard
them as primarily carrying
out a customer service function.

rates as high as 92% for our
fleet - we now only hire in
